Keith A. Myers of MorseLife shares some of his wisdom on how to start, or boost
an organization.
Make Connections
According
to Keith A. Myers of MorseLife, making connections is about more than just
adding to your social circle. Find people who have similar interests as you and
have the means to support those interests. Also, reach out to organizations
based in philanthropy that can connect you with the right people.
Lead By Example
“If you
want people to support your cause, show them that you are willing to support
their cause,” says Keith A. Myers of MorseLife. “Volunteer some time at
outreach efforts and events whose interests line up with yours. Philanthropy is
more about community than anything, so find people who would want to contribute
to your type of organization and participate in those endeavors. Once you find
people already supporting your cause in some other way, you can persuade them
to support your new ideas.”
